The Story of Pomodoro’s Italian American Cafe
Pomodoro’s opened in 1991 as a community favorite in Mooresville. I, Blake Dewey, took over in 2007 and expanded to a larger space in 2010, just off I-77. In 2020, we refreshed our look with vibrant colors, vintage prints, and outdoor seating, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Serving our community with great food and warmth has always been our passion, and we’re proud to continue this tradition.

At Pomodoro’s, our stone-hearth pizzas are crafted by skilled pizzaiolos who make everything in-house, from our signature sauce to dough made with special wheat flour. Our marinara sauce is slow-cooked with wine and spices for a perfect, subtle sweetness. With dishes like homemade meatballs, velvety Marsala, tangy Picatta, and Zuppa de Pesce, every bite is a testament to tradition and quality.

Chef Michael "Natty" Berridge joined Pomodoro’s in 2008 and brought his passion for cooking to every dish. With years of experience and a love for food, he’s been instrumental in elevating our menu. Natty’s commitment to quality and innovation made him an operating partner in 2016, and he continues to be the creative force behind our delicious meals.
